My name is Kelly Estilette, I am a passionate advocate for science and a Doctor of Public Health student. I like to think of myself as a non-traditional expert, weaving through the worlds of public health, genomics, and everything in between.
My journey is driven by a simple belief: science should be for everyone. As an advocate, I’m on a mission to break down barriers and make the complex world of science accessible to all. Whether you’re a seasoned researcher or just curious about the latest health news, I’m here to make sure you feel right at home.
My diverse interests span a wide spectrum, from tackling health disparities and promoting equity to unraveling the mysteries of genomics, genetic epidemiology, and all things “omics.” I’m particularly intrigued by the stories that data analytics and genomic biosecurity can tell us about our health and our world.
My lens includes all aspects of our environment especially those overlapping areas such as zoonosis and epigenetics – these topics are like treasure troves of knowledge, just waiting to be the main character of our story.
